While I'll say that the one that I was a part of began and ended innocuously (partially because I left the job before I broke up with my girlfriend), it's just a bad idea in general for all of the reasons listed above.

There is this older chick who comes to the office a few times a week....shes divorced but keeps herself in amazing shape. She bought prints of a few of my photos.

Weve talked about some personal shyt and I kind of flirt around with her........we actually know way too much about each other. She always invites me over for drinks. Sometimes I think I probably could smash if I just said what I felt but its not worth the risk lol. I actually kind of like this innocent flirting.....there is something refreshing about having a chick thats kinda down but kinda off limits...you can say things you wouldnt normally say to girls you're trying to get with.

I'm in this exact situation right now. And yes, the freedom to flirt with nothing at stake is refreshing (though in my situation, it's also got me on edge; one wrong move can fukk me for a long, long time).

Incidentally, the woman I'm flirting with is in a relationship with a married professor in the same department. It's hilarious how blatant they are about it (though they THINK they're being sneaky...). I'm not even going to get into the student-TA fukkery that I'm being drawn into...

having to when a man was on his knee killed me for sure, I can't say I feel you, but I felt that for so long.

This was seriously the strangest situations ever. We had been hanging out steady for a few months. In my mind, we were working on something, but proposing?? That was so random.

She isn't even married, though. That's the thing (twice divorced with a kid, yes. Seeing as she's barely in her mid-30s, that tells me everything I need to know right there). If she were to proposition me, outside of, "my career might be fukked if this gets out," I have no reason to really turn it down (lives in a neighborhood far, far away from campus, where I have many friends living for plausible deniability). But that's a HUGE reason to watch myself.

The prof she's messing with is just being reckless from what I can gather. Married with kids, fukking around with a professor in his own department in plain sight, then I happened to glance at his e-mail in a meeting and saw the name of a female TA that he'd have zero reason whatsoever to be e-mailing (and who happens to possibly be into me, and also happens to possibly have a boyfriend to begin with)...the shyt just has me going at this point.

Of course, if it all implodes before I get sucked in, I'll be going at how beautiful the collapse will be.
