Dumb question do cars not turn off automatically when the stolen car is out of range from the key fob?
They can't be restarted, at least not easily.

One potential positive of autonomous drive. Once it realizes it's out of range, it will pull itself over, take a pic of the interior, and call the cops. That, or lock itself and drive itself to the nearest police station, lol.

Top Gear actually did a test on this years ago, it was a funny episode where they tried seeing how far they would get without the key.

But short answer is most of the cars will run until it's actually turned off. Then won't start again because key is out of range.

People this smart and will go through these extremes to commit crimes. Imagine what they could do for good :francis:
Those are just flunkies following instructions sent to crash out in the mission for a small fee, they not the real geniuses behind this technology.. some crime boss who runs an illegal car business bought these from hackers in the dark web and hired these flunkies to do the dirty work for them.
