LMA ? :rudy: He's 27 already, he ain't progressing that much and will remain an all star / fringe all star which isn't shaby.

I'm not seeing Griffin being better than Malone / Barkley either.

Stockton may be the most underrated perennial allstar ever. His sheer talent level was just barely above average but dude worked his ass off on the court. very crafty scorer.

Never got to see Mullin play much

Doubt the NBA has ever seen a better PF in his prime than Malone. Yes better than Barkley and Duncan is a Center playing PF. LMA and Griffin have the potential to surpass KM and CB tho.

This whole statement is silly. Barkley was a better basketball player than Malone. He could do everything better than Malone on the court. Score from anywhere on the floor, shooting range, post-game, ball handling, passing, & rebounding. I'll give Malone a tie on running the lane. Only thing Malone has over Barkley was fitness, longevity & a lil defense. In their primes Barkley was clearly over Malone. You bringing up LMA & Griffin is a joke also.

Those of us who were NBA fans back then dont forget about them on the team....it's only the new era Michael Jordan jockers who act like nobody else matters.

Barkley was not a better shooter than malone. Him hitting more 3's than malone doesnt make him a better shooter. Malone's top of the key and corner J's were money.

Barkley had better handles and better passer. They are close in the rebounding category but Barkleys numbers look better. Defense was foreign to Barkley whereas Malone was a silent kilelr on defense. he wouldnt block your shot often but he's lock you up for sure.

Now that i think about it barkley was the better player overall but Malone was close

best PF's I've seen play not in order

  • Malone
  • Barkley
  • Webber
  • Garnett
  • Dirk
  • Kemp (pre cocaine and beer gut)

Honorable mentions: One cant help but wonder what McDyess could have been if it wasnt for that bad knee :why: or Sheed Wallace and the weed and carelessness problem

Barkley had great overall shooting touch from anywhere on the court, thing is he just didn't shoot a whole lot from the perimeter, while Malone's go to shot was a 15-18 footer middle to late in his career. Barkley was so dominant in the post, he didn't play around on the perimeter too much.

Word, especially Sheed :yeshrug: shyt even Webber without the injuries and more D could've made a run at best PF IMO. Too bad :to:
