Its not coincidence that R&B sucks and R.Kelly is locked up. Usher, Beyonce & Chris Brown and all the curerent R&B "Heavyweights" can't maintain the genre because they are performers/entertainers. They can't really write, play and produce R&B which is why Beyonce is doing country and pop cuz she it ain't R&B

My beef with Beyonce tho is that she always wanted to separate herself from r&b by trying too hard.

For me, her best song is still, Me & Myself & I. But I'm sure in her mind she considers it "basic" r&b. So she goes over the top with all these pop attempts. None of her songs are timeless bc they're mostly pop attempts at the current sound.
