Outside of doggystyle, nothing snoop has ever spit made me go, "howd he come up with that? Someone must've written that for him"

Every track, same flow, same formula: spells his name, rap bullsit after that, spell his name, end emphatically with nonsense

His lyricism isn't discredited cuz he's not a great lyricist and iono anyone who paints him as such.

He has bars but he's mid-tier at best, plus he has had way too many writers especially in the latter part of his career to qualify for true lyricist status.

shyt he's admitted to having entire projects written for him and nikkaz discredit Ye, Drake, Puff, etc so Snoop takes the L too.

Snoop Doggy Dogg is lyrical, great story telling songs but after he left death row he dumbed down his skills and got lazy but i will say his 92-96 era was him at his best outside of doggystyle even doggfather album snoop lyrically was at his best just the production lacked and he was experimenting with the laid back flow. But songz like midnight love, may i,change gon come, freestyle convo he was spittin.

He can still spit if he wants to, even after the death row days he did songs like "Think About It" where he just kills it

It's like lookin and poppin and seein whoppers and movers
Despite a Guidant, I try to be hard on the low
Nobody's guidance so I decided to sleep by the do'
Open my mind try to slip inside my grandpa's fo'
Driftin off into another stage of life
nikka paid ya price and big homies made ya fight
nikkas ain't wanna see ya nikka be-bop, no
Toe for toe, I beat a nikka down to the flo'

[Hook: Snoop Dogg]
Incredible, forgettable, better blast, past, to move the mind
Many men were eradicated by music minds
Open ya eyes and take ya time to visualize
And once ya decide to move ya mind in due time
It's so erotic, if it ain't exotic, it's gettin naughty
Freeze and groove, get rowdy, rowdy; girl move ya body
It's melodic, I'm bein honest and modest
You done fukked off my whole rap flow, think about it

[Snoop Dogg]
fukk that nikka, I'mma do it right
Thangs ain't movin right, I don't think that you would like
For me to be mad, saying, "nikkas can't stand me"
Sittin at home, watchin motherfukkers at the Grammy's
Wishin I was there, naw nikka I don't wish no more

I'm the big cat, fish in the bowl
Basically you hear these rappers out here using my flow
They need Snoop on they song to make they shyt official though
In dismissible, police a nikka, modern day KMI
Takin my time, chronolizing my rhyme
Writing my rhyme, tryin to get intellectual
Directing the weather, makin my negative records more intellectual
Tryin to change the direction of flowin
And sayin, born sayin, "You know I get live-er when I get fluent"

Ain't been nobody to change game since King came
Same thing, same lane, hit it and ya get banged
Word to Rob Bass, just make the music dope
Thangs don't change man, it's so remarkable
And they don't know how to do it cause they don't flow that way
Go that way, roll that Jay
Roll my tape and take me back the day you were phony
You're so into what ya doin but you can't get into it
You can't talk and now ya ruined but y'know I'mma do it
And now you doin it, they booing like, "You blew it! You blew it!"
I'm dippin through the universe, make 'em move the verse
Through the Luda-verse, hit the boota first
You can never beat a ho, lemme show you how to treat a ho
If you likin me, follow me, you so believable
(So...) Got a way to get his own music out
Record executive, bounce ballin and actin bad
Take my time, with my.. great mind
Take 'em out, make mine, kicked about it
Thanks to nikkas who might make it illegal
And not rival the Beatles, and rock, rockin my peoples
And fly, fly like eagles been doin the shyt like liters
And hittin y'all with heaters and walkin in my Adidas
I continue to bust, then I switched up to chucks
Givin nikkas a puff, still givin it up
Beanie Sigel what up? Real nikkas is up
On the scheme with my team, yeah Daz and Kurupt

[Hook]

[Snoop Dogg]
We bust 'til we buss 'em up
Lay Low, I know they told you not to fukk with us
Layin and playin, and sayin man, walkin in vain
Anxious for fame, my nikka tryin to walk in my lane
And tryin to.. walk in my shoes but they just don't fit
You couldn't spit the shyt that I spit cause I'm the shyt
And this is it, legit, let's split the chips
And fix, and move the work and hurt that bytch
I'm through with this! {*crowd cheers*}

Thats jus insane shyt right here

@stomachlines what you say bout that topic & that song breh ?

Snoop ain't no Nas or Kool G Rap or nobody like that, but he can spit. The cool thing about Snoop too is his a lot of times he spits off the top of his head but the downside to that is he spits some of the same ol' same ol'.

But Snoop was nice w/ it before he got lazy and just ran out his creative ways to express himself.

He had 1 of the best flows in the game. Still got 1 of the best voices of all time

And what song are we talking bout?

Cant believe some people say snoop cant bring it lyrically without writers. Just look at songs like this one.
Makes the fact that he sometimes had people write him verses or songs even more unnecessary for me :martin:
I know he has often said why he let people write for him sometimes but damn, dude can come up with shyt like this no need to have writers. He just needs to be focused and in the zone like on here and get his ass in the studio with a couple good producers and hed still outrap all those current rappers.

Yeah, he bought it w/ that song. But a lot of times, Snoop will just do enough to make a decent song. But when he's hungry and not lazy, he can bring it. This song is a prime example of him bringing his A game.

This. Theres absolutely no need for him to use ghostwriters. shyt really upsets me sometimes, on all the songs hes used writers I bet he couldve came up with something better than them If he was focused like on "Think About It"

Snoop done just "old" and lazy, that's all. I mean, when he feel it and really feel like recording, he can do it. But he's in his 40's now, it ain't like 20 plus years ago when he was hungry and trying to really compete.
