I heard Larry Brown is supposed to his assistant a few weeks ago when this first broke as a possibility.Penny assuming his rightful throne
Picking the right assistant coaches will be crucial.
I got so much respect for LB as a coach. Way more than Phil bytch ass. And that shyt that Tubby was running his mouth about a couple weeks ago just really rubbed me the wrong way. Calling students quitters when its moreso about the politics of collegiate sports. Says more about you as a coach than it does the student. I had no reason to respect Tubby before that, def don't have any now. Especially when he quit UK to go to UMinn or Texas Tech to go to Memphis. Hypocrite. And jobless atm.

I’m happy for this move and I’ve been predicting this for a while, but forgive me brehs. You guys know this won’t be easy right? Penny is a AAU coach for the EYBL, and Memphis East is one of the best teams in the nation, but college is a different beast altogether. It’s going to take a minute for him to get his groove, if he ever does. @Poiter called it, he’s going to need the right assistant coaches, and one of the names I’m hearing is Larry Brown. It doesn’t get better than that.
