Im intrigued so far but isnt she just death tho? Not some malevolent being like a guardian angel and the sister who is she supposed to be? I like the manipulation and chaos she brewing
i mean like santa muerte healed the older brother from a headshot wound so i wanna see what she will do about her sister. what does the mark she left on the detective mean?
her sister is out there creating chaos and more dead people with it. they haven’t said what being she is, if just a demon or the devil

This supernatural shyt seems extremely unnecessary to the plot. It feels like someone wanted to make a period piece thriller but some coked up producer wanted magic and that GOT chick somewhere in the mix.
In the folklore of Santa Muerte she provides safe delivery to the afterlife but also is a healer and a protective spirit who grants favors to those who show her devotion.
Magda is a character created specifically for the show so that Santa Muerta could be seen as a softer character while the more dark "Angel of Death" side of Santa Muerta can be epitomized through Magda.

Last night's showdown between Magda and Maria were the best scenes this show has put out all season.

Deservedly so. I don't know or care who any of these characters are or what the stakes of the game are, 7 episodes into a 9-10 episode season. After the GOATness of the OG show, this is a massive letdown.
