Penn State is a university first and foremost and a lot of people have went through/are going through/going to go through to get an education. Sports is secondary.
What happened happened and the problem has a trickle-down effect. The school is going to remain the same as it pertains to education. As for sports, I don't know. There's a bunch of non-football related sport programs and student/athletes and coaches that don't deserve the negative impact of Jerry Sandusky, but they are going to have to deal with it. I don't think their football program is worth maintaining. It's a black mark. Just dump it all permanently. Reconfigure the football stadium to be a soccer stadium or build an ice arena for hockey.
