You find a lot of things funny huh? I don't know if you're trolling me or not, but I've already explained my position. I wouldn't give two-shyts if Sandusky and his cohorts were put to death. I think the Paterno family needs to sit the fukk down, and anybody still defending him needs to shut the hell up. And yes, I think the NCAA is a bytch-made organization that's run by a bunch of caucasion elitists; Myles Brand severely fukked it up. However, I'm sure that the only reason the NCAA is gonna come down this hard is because of media pressure; had nobody said shyt they may have completely stayed out of it. They have a history of checking the landscape for popular opinion, and then levying punishment against whatever institution. Which is why they'll always come down harder on a program like Miami, as opposed to a program like Notre Dame. They'd come down harder on LSU than they would on Stanford etc. Now I know this isn't a forum of enlightenment, and everybody that watches sports or visits espn.com is automatically an expert, so its a mute point to keep arguing a mob. But the FBI needs to round up the rest of the offenders, throw them in jail, and then get on with it. And I'm not even a fan of Penn St. I just don't comprehend this giddy joy people are having anticipating them receiving the Death Penalty. You say you should be mad? Fine. I agree. Be mad at the administrators and go after them. Because a lot of those folks will jump ship and get nice jobs somewhere else while the rest of the community is left in ruins, and I think that shyt is wrong. My whole point is to specifically go after the perpertrators for now; and down the road if there were much more people involved than we thought, then go ahead and stop dropping bombs. The NCAA heard people's grumblings and are jumping the gun a bit IMO. Oh and I played college and a little bit of pro FOOTBALL before switching over to rugby, which is why I chose the alias.
But this is a scandal unlike any other in NCAA history, this is beyond football players sexually assaulting a coed, or getting into fights or taken money and coaches turning a blind eye. These are kids basically being taken to a rape campus and all the people that could've and should've stopped it, didn't.
Not enough foresight was taken as far as higher ups registering the impact of a cover up and what it would do to the college as a whole. Life isn't fair, but neither is little kids getting raped.
