Is the Zota Unique sturdy enough to split wood? And how often would they need to be sharpened?

A: The toe is sturdily constructed, I frequently sharpen mine with my diamond lathe. I use them in a pinch to harvest all sorts of timber.
Is the front edge exactly at 90 degree angles?

A: Yes, it can be doubled as a protracter as well.
