shyt was a good movie. The fukked up Wizard of Oz throwback was actually really interesting.

Feel a lot like a Farmhouse (Joaquin Phoenix) Joker of Oz.

That was a really fukked reverse Wizard of Oz

I want to see a movie of Howard hiding in the trenches seeing ghost and losing his sanity.

I liked it, but i don't think most people will get anything out of it by seeing it in the theaters. I recommended people just wait for streaming in the horror thread. And one thing i've learned about this forum is saying " i liked it" makes certain people think a movie will have non-stop action and fukkery and people go into shyt expecting a masterpiece.

i'll give it a 7+/10.

I think that's reading too much into it. It was underwhelming for me in comparison to X. I hope the one in the 80s is better. This was just standard and pretty straightforward.

Had a chance to see it tonight for $5. After watching the trailer, nah. I'm over those gory type horror movies. The only reason I was into them was to get my new girl friends, when I first started dating, to grab on to me and touch me for the first time out of fear, which they never did...lol. But I continued to go to these gory type movies, even when me and my new girlfriends were already sexually involved. Just like when you drink at a party when you're young, to get your nerve up to dance, you wound up drinking every weekend years later, even when your alone watching the ball game.

Anyway, I generally like horror movies with some kinda physiological thing with it, and this movie seem to fit the bill. But like I said, I've fallen further and further away from that gory stuff, especially when it includes killing children, or their pets, or animals in general. Just watching that scene when she killed that goose with the pitch fork, was enough to make me decide against seeing this movie. Of course seeing them kill humans is worst, but you get my drift.

There's a long take in the back half of the movie that I feel is a big test of patience for most people. I enjoyed it for the most part but I can't say it stands on its own. It really just reinforces how X is one of the best movies of the year, and I'm glad about that.
