i plan to put a gaming pc in my living room initially i was going to purchase one but found a unused pc the specs are as follows...

Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHZ
6GB RAM
ATI RADEON HD 5570 (3831MB TOTAL AVAILABLE GRAPHICS MEMORY *DEDICATED MEMORY 1GB*

WINDOWS 7 64-BIT


what graphics card would i need to purchase to play all games with the comfort of at least 30fps on high to ultra. thanks in advance people.

You found that?? As in you already owned that or on some scavenging the streets shyt??

Right now you good all I would do is get a GTX 660 or AMD equivalent card. I'd probably get 8gb ram too.

A 660Ti and you're set. Not a fan of AMD cards(their drivers specifically).

at least a gtx 560 or ATI 6870...
i have a 560 ti and an ATI 6870. i can run everything max ( some games i gotta turn the AA to just below max)

yeah, a 660ti would be tight, and yeah...up that ram.

nah i had it just collecting dust,

so even though the original card is radeon getting a gtx 660 will be cool?

plan on playing 1080p

just tried devil may cry at 60fps at 1080p and it played pretty smooth

Yea, if you're going 1080p(at 30+fps) I'd suggest the 660Ti as its the best card for low money(299.99).

a 7950 might be the best bang for your buck, but that store doesnt seem to offer it, so a 7870 is a good choice.

but none of this is "next gen" in PC terms, you need to spend some money
