Yeah I fukked up and made the same mistake illadope did, peeped it in the store. I ended up staying in the store far longer than I planned on. You see websites in a whole new light. As a nicca that dabbles in web design and has created sites for other people, I can see how the Retina screen will change the game. It will force peeps to make their sites 'retina-ready' and up the resolution on their graphics. People are really going to have to switch to CSS3 instead of using gradient png files because those files would have to increase in size and resolution to look good in retina.
That's just one small example. I don't need the extra 16gb because I don't plan on running that many ram-hogging programs at the same time. The base model is perfect for what I need. Getting one next week.
