So we're only going to get 12 fights a year while FNF was providing fights every friday over like 6-8 month period? So less boxing? 1 Fight a month essentially?
I've heard that it will be in conjunction with about 3 other promoters.no more FNF?
My problem with this is that we're only going to get Haymon fighters now. While FNF was a catch all for promoters.
thursdays vikings is on....we need to concentrate on the adventures of swagnar lothbrok and the fukkery they get into in the name of odin..be cool breh ...tuesdays are better...shyt bring back tuesday night fights..aint shyt on tv on tuesday nights anywaysI haven't caught Friday night fights and a min but I don't know if I like this. Granted it was a lot of bum hunting going on.
Now if the give us competitive fights on Friday nights that will be good.
I personally think Friday nights should be move to Thursday's maybe?
ABC and ESPN are both owned by DIsney . . Al Haymon venture is doing a lot for boxingESPN and ABC are joining Al Haymon's boxing party.
The sports network told USA TODAY Sports Tuesday that Premier Boxing Champions, the brainchild of reclusive boxing mogul Haymon, will air a dozen two-hour live boxing shows on ESPN and ABC annually.
The inaugural PBC on ESPN show will air on Saturday, July 11, with a venue and participants to be announced soon, according to Brian Kweder, ESPN's senior director of programming and acquisitions. ABC broadcasts will air on Saturday afternoon, with further details to be announced at a later date.
The new series will replace ESPN's Friday Night Fights, which celebrates its last show on Friday, May 22, with the finals of the Boxcino 2015 tournament.

Didn't realize ABC was in the mix too.
Well this is just semantics.I meant fight cards. FNF was putting on cards every friday over a long period of time. Way more than a "dozen" a year between two networks.1 card a month not one fight a month. Besides that's just on one network Al gonna have events on TV damn near weekly between all the networks
That's not what it is. Most of us like to see fighters from the beginning do their thing and work the way up. They need an outlet for that too and that was FNF.So PBC is likely on course to be synonymous with boxing the way UFC is with MMA . . NBA with basketball . . NFL with football . . MLB with baseball - pretty soon we might see organized scheduling. A unified commission. Plus to launch this into the masses Mayweather's 50th and final fight is up for grabs, this opens the tables for a lot of these networks to start a bidding war over who gets that fight, it'll be of Super Bowl proportions
