Everybody deserves standard decent treatment and respect. Pointing out health facts and keeping it real on how dangerous obesity is is good, but some cats hide behind fake concern to just be mean and call people pigs. That's fatshaming to me. The other is just facts.

Fatshaming isn't even efficient and more than likely would push people with food addiction to indulge even more and develop depression. If there's really concern about public health and fat people, then it's the source that should be addressed: food deserts, lack of subventions for organic and healthy food, etc.

No amount of fatshaming will make the Popeyes in the hood turn into inexpensive Whole Foods.
No one says u gotta eat popeyes or organic food

From experience, I can appreciate the sensation of being enveloped by the wet, simmering warmth of an attractive BBW & the carnal lust that a full bodied, curvy woman inspires, but she ain't it. :camby: :scusthov:

Edit: Matter of fat..

We know that's a main cause of obesity though, and that disparities in food access translate into disproportionate rates of obesity and other diseases in the Black community...
Saying "eat less" is good, but come on breh. You know people don't work like that. Give them access to healthy food from a young age to build good habits, restrict access to the shyt food, and voilà. You nip that shyt in the bud.

Not really following the logic here as this commercial seems to be promoting being out of shape.
It's damn near saying "fukk salads and dieting and working out." :mjlol:

That has nothing to do with fat shaming. It's like saying people are homophobic because they don't want to see transexuals and gays half naked at them "pride" parades. That shyt is ODing, same as this commercial. Has nothing to do with me not "respecting" them.

Why are we still allowing advertising of McDonald's and em then?

Again, I don't follow the logic. I never seen a McDonald's ad as aggressively anti-health as this one. Hell, McDonald's specifically starting carrying salads to quell some of those complaints. Meanwhile this commercial is saying "don't worry about eating salads".

shyt is crazy man.

Fatshaming is wrong, but is showing this type of ads, especially during covid, really responsible?
Tbh breh, I don't know what you're talking about :skip: you meant to quote me?
