:whew: One time aint Devon Alexander tho, Porter will have to respect that man
With what no jab and a hands down defense, do you understand this boxing shyt and understand what happens when a hands down fighter faces a trench fighter....

Just look how the come forward slow plodder Karrass had him on shaky legs, now lets imagine a slicker, quicker sharper, better level fighter that is Porter in there with that wild shyt................

Thurman made some nice adjustments though, he came out banging but ended up using his boxing skills after he caught some work to get the win and still stopped dude.

Yeah, he will.

I can see Thurman walking Porter into a huge right hook and KO'ing him.
See this is the hard part in this scenario, he has to find the distance to land that shot and Porter doesn't concede that you have to earn it, he will stick to Thurman like crazy glue....On top of this another fail in this scenario is that Thurman has trex reach, creating distance and moving away to walk him into a shot wont benefit him like that Porter aint dumb enough to walk into a KO like Karrass

Plus Porter used to roam around 160 he'll have no worries of any WW pop not named Manny, Prov, or Floyd.............

Honestly from what I watch with my strongest convictions, Broner and Malinaggi both beats the shyt out of Thurman, now Porter would bring a whole different dimension of problems on top of him having a pretty solid beard...............

Thurman simply needs a name for me to gauge him correctly, and even gauging him on his level and on his scale he's a c class fighter, he showed nothing but tumbleweeds vs Zavek, was getting the shyt boxed out of by Chaves before he landed a fluke body ko, was getting worked by Karrass bum ass, he failed to showcase in showcase matches vs handpicked guys..........he failed to showcase anything after his mouth got him that hype and buzz. Say what you want about a Broner for getting his ass whooped by he talked the talked and stood tall and ran from no higher level fighters even post Malinaggi when it was clear he wasn't quite ready for that level..........

Bottom line I'm tired of hearing of Thurman in theoretical matches, for all the talk of fighters ducking, how is looking for a bigger payday, vs more proven fighters ducking, what does a Thurman win does to anyone not named Khan or Broner(haymon hype train), absolutely nothing......Not to mention there were a myriad of other fights he could have took, why not a Josestio Lopez, he's a bum nikka too, do they not trust a Thurman vs him, I mean any live body........

But I digress:manny:

That's fair.

He does have to fight SOMEBODY and he could've fought Josesito Lopez:manny:

Hell, he could fight Zab Judah at least to have the "name" on his resume (even though Judah is done). What about Andre Berto? Luis Collazo was available before he fought Ortiz.

Adjustments vs C levels fighters:mjlol:

He was supposed spank ass on some Tyson shyt..........Those were showcase matches breh, there is a reason Scheaffer warned Thurman about bringing his A game his next match, from that statement I get they weren't too impressed, even the suits aint believing the hype

It's simply a million big big names from 140-154 he could of chose, but he faces who?????????????????/

And to spew nonsense like every other name was taken irked me to the core, I'm just sick of these hypejobs

Hopefully Thurman wins though so him and Porter could square up.........

Porter ain't the same nikka once he feels some power

Having said that hed be making a good name for himself at 147 undefeated with wins against

Devon
Paulie
Brook

:ehh:

Yep.

Then I see them making Porter vs Thurman in an IBF/WBA unification bout (Thurman is gonna be the WBA champ after Floyd beats Maidana and vacates, since the WBA has already said the winner of Maidana/Floyd has to fight Thurman).

You right about that.

All the big names are avoiding him like "what does fighting him do for me" which is understandable, but Thurman did have some options opponents available (Berto/Collazo/Lopez/Judah).

Hell, he could also fight Devon Alexander for real and let us see where he really stands at 147.

He'll be alright, young fighters go through that....The same could be said about Thurman

HOF in Mosley and Pacquaio touted Porters skill for years.....Porter was a man that whooped on Kirklands(a 210 pound James Kirkland) ass and dropped him in sparring, he's more proven and ready to deal with what a Thurman has to answer...

Sorry it had to be my nikka Paulie that faces Porter

Porter is a guy I'm not convinced on fully on..yet....he used to irritate the fukk out of me with the visible flaws when I watched him come up..flaws that could easily be fixed by a different trainer besides his pops...but I can't get on him too much because as I mentioned before he won the right fights (rematching diaz after a gift draw and beating him clearly then beating devon clearly) to eventually become champion...it would be unnecessarily hating...basically for now he's fight by fight status to see what he really has..and yeah beating paulie and kell brook would go a long way to changing my perception of him even more

He went through his tough spots but he persevered, and re matched to quell any noise, he's one of those old school fighters that came up the right way contrary to a Thurman, he stayed underground for years sparring big name fighters and holding his own and making a name for himself, he could have spewed sparring stories to generate hype and buzz but no he kept his mouth shut and kept working. IMO Porter is no where near his prime yet, 2-3 more fights than he'll start to get that KO confidence

Besides in spite of how much we hate Alexander, he's a tough cookie to crack and like vs Bradley he was pretty much overwhelmed from the start

Honestly I feel 90% of Porter shade has everything to do with people hating Alexander, like he gain DA haters with the win, as funny as that shyt sound..........

Porter is a good young fighter so I wont slight him and call him a sparring partner anymore....

Thurman on the other hand is a fun fighter to watch but I want to see war, not glorified exhibitions where he supposed to shock and awe.......................
