feels like that boston rivalry was centuries ago. Id consider the spurs a better rivalry because they stopped him from getting a ring on a truly competitive squad. other than those win-inflated later 00s cleveland squads, Boston hasnt prevented LeBron from reaching his goals ever when the two are on an equal standing. Id put them ahead of GS though, just because their squads were closer together than Cleveland was to GS (3 out of those 4 years, anyway)

PP was a walking bucket, and he could give it to you from 3, mid-range, off the dribble, post ups, whatever the defense gave him. Clutch as hell too. And in his prime he was toe-to-toe with Bron. PP was also good defensively, a decent passer, and a good rebounder.

Those Celtics teams slapped the sh*t outta Bron for years.

It wasn't long enough for it to be considered a rivalry. What was it, 2-3 seasons, at most? Before they revamped with KG & Hey-Zeus, no one cared about a Pierce vs Lebron matchup.
