The bar being low has nothing to do with this promo being great. It was great because every word made sense and most importantly was completely believable.

He got the belt because of Ali's injury, it also didn't hurt that there was a ready made redemption story to go along with the feud. The Kofi vs DB match created one of the greatest moments ever in wrestling.

Yeah, but Kofi has NEVER been someone to take lightly in singles competition. Take away that WWE title reigns and he is still one of the MOST ACCOMPLISHED wrestlers from a titles won standpoint in the past 20-30 years.
