A lot of yall dont realize that the ENGINEER is what make those albums sound good.Fools can make beats all day but most likely they sound like total shyt but a skilled engineer will polish the sound and make those beats shine. Then the person who made the beats will then run off acting like hes the one who made it happen...DAZ....THEGLOVE....MELMAN.....and countless other beat makers that cant duplicate that sound they had when DR DRE was the ENGINEER.

Paul C was the engineer. Back then there was dudes who knew how to work equipment (engineers) and DJs (dudes with records who cut cut).

Joe the butcher, Ivan doc Rodriguez, Paul C, charle marotta....

Not to say that some people weren't both, but yeah...a guy like Paul or kurtis Mantronik were assets because they could work all that shyt.

BEFORE the Engineer mix the song

AFTER the Engineer mix the song

:obama:

a engineer should at least split the credit with the person who makes the beat.thats why engineers like Mike Dean are HipHops go to guys. They can mix a song from shyt to shiny glitter.

Yea he was taken far too soon from us. His beats were really groundbreaking for the era and really it was in part his production that helped bridge the gap between the 2nd and 3rd generation of hip-hop. Furthermore his production influenced albums like Pauls Boutique,
