:dwillhuh::mindblown::snoop::mindblown:

I don't get it. Sandler's production company keeps making garbage movies and he still keeps making a profit.

You film snobs are the worst :beli:

I guess you expect parents to sit down with their kids and breakdown the cinematography of A Clockwork Orange or have an enlightened discussion over the moral ambiguity of modern protagonists in entertainment
back in the days there was no need for that, kids just got it!

See how bad it is now?

I went to go see it and it wasn't that bad. Of course critics and film snobs are going to hate it, but that's not who its target audience is.

It's a corny family movie for kids that adults can enjoy on a certain level, those types of movies usually make money. I've seen a lot worse movies from our childhood years getting praised on here, so don't act like y'all didn't like some terrible movies when you were kids.

It's possible to make good family movies without emphasizing hackneyed slapstick comedy. This is just a lazy effort.

Nah, that's insane.
I'd start by talking about the lighting in Barry Lyndon

Let's be real, most of the movies we enjoyed as kids were lowbrow. If you go back and look at the reviews of most of your favorite movies from when you 6 or 7 I bet they're terrible. Some stuff isn't meant for single adults that like highbrow entertainment.

:deadrose: I'm not a fan of Paul Blart but I recognize not everything is for everyone; studios gotta let everybody eat. Nothing wrong with it. But your post made me choke on my cereal breh

You got a point. I loved Little Rascals and Little Giants as a kid..still do, but there's no way in hell my mother enjoyed either one of those. Along with Ninja Turltes 2 or Ace Ventura

Neg pending.

That's cool but that won't turn it into a good flick :whoknows: best thing about the movie is the soundtrack and the 11s. It's just about realizing that not everything we loved as kids is quality entertainment and maybe, just maybe, our parents had a hard time sitting through it and decried it as much as we can decry something like Paul Blart breh. It's all about perspective. For every Toy Story there's a Dunston Checks In. For every Heavyweights, there's a Ninja Turtles 3
