The Pats are going to be a bad team this season so getting some value for an aging pass rusher coming off an injury is good for them.

This was a good trade

Pats got a 3rd for a dude who didn’t want to be there.

ATL gets a pass rusher who in theory should be a major upgrade assuming he’s not washed after that injury.

Win win :manny:
Yep it's a win win trade. Pats get some draft capital for a guy who is due a new contract on a year and is coming off an injury and doesn't want to be there. Falcons getting a guy who can help them now.

Guess that explains why they're slow walking Maye. They're tanking this season and acquiring picks.

Also wild that Atlanta traded more for an aging pass rusher than the Jets traded for Hassan Reddikk.
Both got flipped for a 3rd, only difference was the Reddikk 3rd can become a 2nd based on snaps/sacks.

We could see a QB battle if Milton continues to show promise. That Maye pick might have set this org back several years. Could be a complete waste.
