That’s fukked, regulations are gonna come sooner.

If there was head gear or some type of protection would that fall not have been as bad?

Damn. He seemed like a great guy too. It's only a matter of time before all combat sports are outlawed. Even football is already headed that way. I think mankind will eventually remove anything that serves no benefit to our evolution as a species. Might not be for another 500 years but it'll happen. I think It's gonna take the death of a superstar before the shyt reaches a boiling point.

RIP
Nah. Boxing has had many deaths in it from jump. Theres too much old money in these sports to ban em. It sucks when ppl are dying but thats the risk you take entering full contact activities :manny:
RIP to the young warrior.

It’s hard to say. I mean honestly no matter how padded a helmet or head gear is, it’s rarely the outside of the head being struck that causes the problems, but rather the brain slamming against the skull from the inside. And there’s not much that can be done to stop that. It’s sort of an inherent risk with strikes to the head, whiplash, hitting the floor, etc.

If there was some way to keep the head in place that would help, but that would also neuter the sport entirely because anything that would protect in that way would severely restrict head movement...to the point of it looking so ridiculous that they might as well not fight.
Edit: I’m sorry for upping this. I thought I saw a new post but it wasn’t that new. RIP to Patrick.
