You CAN, however, make them understand the logical basis underlying their belief. Calling it a 'fairy tale' just engenders unnecessary animosity and hinders communication. That's why no one aside from teenagers takes Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, or the late Christopher Hitchens seriously when they speak about religion. They get it all wrong and try to cover up their ignorance with derisive/dismissive comments and mischaracterizations.​

From the bang it took billions and billions of years for things to shape, form, and evolve to what we have now.
