Should just be be a single aisle at target. Thats why they struggle , people getting all that same stuff while grocery shopping these days. Don't need a dedicated store when most of your sales are done during two holiday months a year.

I was thinking what other competitive outlet would put them out of business but that makes sense that the Targets and Wal-Marts could just allow dedicate party sections to shoppers as opposed to a whole damn store.

But it lasted for a while so it had something that worked

Never any reason for me to go in there since my family ain't rich enough to throw parties and no job I ever worked for ever had a party worth a damn. Since Lowes in 2014, they made sure I was off when they threw a party, I wasn't interested in the Amy Schumer caliber women who was at those parties anyway.

makes sense, they are basically a toy store.
I remember seeing one open up in an abandoned toy r us and laughing thinking they must not know the irony. :mjlol: use the same failed business model as your predecessor in the same exact location.

Not the same business model at all…. It was a niche store for a lot of people that threw random parties/home events. Party city was jumping from about 1993 to 2010….

You’re comparing 2 different industries for starters… Toys R Us had a significant share of the toy industry on a global level from like 80 to 95….. Much bigger industry for starters… People were shopping at party city for any and every house party or themed event that was going to be thrown in an intimate or semi public setting….. Maybe your state may vary or your gen may vary…… but I remember going to party city back in the day for birthdays, Christmas, graduation, Super Bowl, NBA game 7s, Boxiny, just got out of jail, silver/golden anniversaries, Halloween, masquerade, freak parties, family reunions, casual get togethers, and countless other themes…..
