I don't understand the outrage

Well, yall are always saying the West hates Islam, this is true and it's just another manifestation of that. I'm certainly not pro Islam in any way, but I think barring children from something like this goes against the spirit of the Freedom of Religion this country is supposed to encourage. This is also kinda silly, most muslim women I know dont wear this. This is kind of like dress like an arab day (:what:)

If they wanted to change the perception of Islam, wearing burqas would definitely be doing the opposite.

This signals out women oppression.

I'm assuming their christian (white+in texas...i think i'll be fine).
If your faith in christianity is so weak that your daughter putting a piece of clothes on is gonna upset you then good got damn.

How would you feel if your 8 eight year old started following Islam and wearing a Burqa?

personally i'd be sad. However that's not what this article is talking about.

It's clothes, they didn't preach religion either, they taught about it which i'm fine with. I"ve read other holy books, i've read so pretty viscous books on Christianity as well, didn't change what i believed.

Truthfully I'd get more upset if my kids teacher made them wear an ASU shirt as i'm a UofA fan. :ld:

Once you go Burqa you never go back..

There's a thing line, Muhammad taught people about Islam.

What if your kids all end up going to ASU

I hope 88 one day gets a life and decides to marry and have a daughter who comes home and says she is Muslim.

I don't care about anything

I'm sure I wouldn't be phased

On another note I'm thinking about a vasectomy
