pap ripped that beat i still have the mixtape that debuted on it think
he was one of the last tracks on a kay slay joint after that he started getting higher up the roster, then he dropped beast from the east and we thought he was next. problem was he kept droppin tapes and got slightly saturated.
still a great rapper, when charades dropped and the hurricane katrina song he was next for the throne

Papoose flow and melody is garbage he don't even go with the beat
Look Pap was the second coming when those first mixtapes were dropping and I think he is the last real MC to have come out. I am a HUGE fan. But I never ever thought Pap did not have a flow he is pure flow. When he is ripping those freestyles in 2004 it is the flow and way he says sh*t that makes the tracks go, not his lyrics.
Then, he started making these gimmicky songs like Charades, chess and checkers whatever the heck they are...
I hate to to tell you put speaking on topics and putting themes in a song doesn't make you lyrical... Lyrically is putting words together in ways that others can't or would not think of... Nas is lyrical, Jay Z is lyrical, Biggie and 2 pac are not lyrical. Likewise, Pap is not a lyrical beast he's okay but his strength is his flow, delivery presenceand realness about him (like when you hear him you say that ni66a really from the hood).

Take this above its ILL the way Pap spits it but there is nothing technical in there, no rhyme schemes or structures that stand out.
Its very simplistic but the way he spits it makes it dope.
Jay, Nas or even Biggie are way more lyrical and would've said the same thing more creatively. Pap just lives off of his delivery.

You are right though he does flip them multi's. He is an extremely gifted MC no doubt. Just lyrically he is not all that. He is just a pure spitter.
How am I trolling? I'm dead in the middle of the argument. I posted the video of him in brooklyn over the Dead Wrong beat cause its classic to me.
Pap has moments of brilliance but other times he falls flat. That being said I'd rather listen to him than anything thats come out in the last 6 years...
