Gonna be hard for Jerry to fire the coach of the reigning NFC EAST CHAMPIONS
Beautiful thing some of y'all forgetting...He (Garrett) doesn't need to be fired. His contract is up we (hopefully) just won't pick him up...
Fixing this problem needs to start with Jerry Jones. Simply getting a new coach puts us back in the same position we've been in for the last 10-15 years.
It's going to take REAL culture changing moves, aggressive and deliberate. I don't see that happening.
I mean look at the results from Thursday and the fallout from it. Got beat in our usual ugly fashion. A lot of show but little substance. They got Jerry crying and making magic wishes (a legendary Super Bowl run?
) should tell you all you need to know about this team and the culture surrounding it. Our OWNER crying. Think about that, think about WHY he's crying. His ego is so huge, he's feeling the heat and seeing the results from anointing Jason Garrett some great head coach before he even had the position. Instead of admitting fault or wrong, he continues to pound the decision by sticking with him through years of mediocrity all because his EGO can't allow him to do the right thing and bring in someone experienced...
Our Owner and freaking General Manager considers himself a "football guy" someone with more X's and O's knowledge than real football guys. He doubles down on his own delusion with dumb decisions and moves. His loyalty is a gift and a curse. He's happy as long as the Cowboys are winning HIS way and his way only...THAT's where we are as a team. I don't see it changing until the TOP changes. I won't get excited until I see that...
