Then Garrett like the true schemer said sorry Tony .....NOW Tony wanna take shots. nahhhhhhhhhh b, shoulda said something before but you let his scheming ass get in your head about TO. And its sad regarding 2009 because Stephen Jones and Garrett were in cahoots even then. Wade probably wasnt even trippin on TO at all. Garrett really is the devil :snoop:
I've said it before, I'll say it again - when Troy Aikman had a problem with a coach (Switzer & Gailey) he let it be known to EVERYONE - media, players, Jerry. When Romo had a problem wtith a coach he bottled it up until after he retired. That's the difference between an alpha and a beta. That's the difference between a #1 pick who expected to be there and an UDFA who was just happy to be there. I believe Dak is more like the former.

True but at least Romo said fukk it and started calling his own plays

Dak runs the plays that he is told
Romo was about 31 when he started doing that .

Its hard to not shake the first impression of Dak throwing ducks for a couple of years, but he just turned 26....the same age when Romo got his first start.

This is true but Troy had the cachet to force Jerry’s hand.

Dak going to Jerry and demanding Marinelli and Garrett to go would be like Goff demanding McVay and Wade to get fired...

Age shouldnt matter

Maybe once he gets his security (contract) he will change but he has been starter long enough to know when the call is poor

Bro got a RPO so he had the option to hand it off, run it, or pass it. I thought Dak was in the wrong there. He should have run it himself. We've seen him do it several times down on the goalline over his career.

Not really cause McVay and Wade Phillips are good at what they do and are actually the driving force behind their teams success. Dak is probably the only reason that Garrett and Marinelli still have jobs at this point.

The owner Jerry Jones gave no specific reason for firing Gailey, but said it would take too much time and energy to get ''everyone on the same page'' for next season.

''This decision I had to make is about football,'' Jones said. ''It wasn't about egos. Chan Gailey, relative to when he accepted this job, burned the midnight oil. He worked hard, he was diligent, he was honest. He did everything I imagined.''

Gailey led Dallas to an 18-14 record in two regular seasons, but the Cowboys were eliminated from the playoffs in the first round both years. He said the team's postseason failure led to his dismissal.

(Game voice) "Look at Jerry yall"

You forgot the rare stat that a Garrett-coached team somehow accomplishes

not a single rushing first down all game :gucci:

Let's had this stat to Garrett's hall of shame.

  • Lose a game when leading by 14 in 4th qtr (jets 2011)
  • Lose a game after leading by 24 (detroit 2011)....did a similar repeat of this later in GB 2013 game
  • The Cowboys (JG) established a new franchise low in rushing touchdowns in the 2011 season with five, which included a rushing TD by Romo himself
  • Ice his kicker on a winning kick and lose the game....Arizona 2011
  • Lose 3 win or go home games in a row
  • Have 3 non winning seasons in a row, (tied with Campo) also coach Landry when the franchise was first created
  • Go 8-8 3 seasons in a row
  • Had the worst defense in franchise history
  • Go 10 quarters without scoring a TD. Club record. (2017)
  • Score single digits in 3 straight games. Club record. (2017)
  • Lose to a team who had more penalty yardage than offensive yardage. Club record. (2017)
  • Have 4 losses by over 20 points. (2017)
  • Get 8 sacks in 1 game. The most given up by any Cowboy team since 1991.
  • Score 10 points or less in 3 straight games. (2017)
  • Lose a game when running 42 times in a game (2012)
  • Allow 625 yards and 40 first downs in a game (2013)
  • Only coach to ever to lose a game while winning Time of Possession, Total Yards, Turnovers, Pick up 25 First Downs, and convert at least 10 or more 3rd downs.
  • First Cowboys team to allow 4 rushing TDs in a game.

You really think non-SB winning QBs is out here getting their coaches fired like that?

Just off top

11 Jets - Romo fumble on the 1

12 Giants - Dez finger on backline endzone OOB

12 Redskins - Thanksgiving Day Massacre to RG3

12 Redskins - lose Week17 winner take all on a Romo pick to the flats in the last 2 mins

13 Lions - Calvin 300yds and Stafford QB sneak TD at the buzzer

13 Eagles - Mark Sanchez Thanksgiving Day Massacre

13 Packers - Matt Flynn coming back from 3 scores back in the 2nd half

13 Broncos - score 49 points and have a QB who throws for 500yds and 5TDs and lose

I'm sure I missed like 8 other games

:mjcry:
Dont forget

11 Arizona, Woat coach ices his own kicker

11 Detroit, Up 24 points and Garrett has Romo slinging the ball and he throws 2 pick sixes to start the second half

11 NYG, Romo overthrowing A wide-open Miles that wouldve 1. sealed the game 2. Sealed the division 3. Wouldve prevented the Giants from winning the Super Bowl that season :damn::damn::damn::damn::damn::damn::damn::damn:
Please stop :mjcry:

And that’s true. If Dak didn’t have the 2016 season they had coming off the heels of that 4-12 season in 2015, we likely have new coaches now. Tony and Demarco saved Garrett in 2014. Dak and Zeke saved Garrett in 2016. The defense and Amari saved Garrett in 2018. Who is going to save him now?

And I should honestly say the linebackers and Gregory saved Garrett in 2018 instead of the entire defense.
Garrett is getting blasted once again by the media. Everybody knows the problem on the field. Orvlovsky called it out today. I will repeat what I said a couple weeks ago. I will be shocked if we make the playoffs if we are only at least a game up on the eagles by December 1st. Because we are currently going through our gauntlet schedule and the eagles December schedule is charmin soft.

Also of note, interesting how we look like super bowl contenders against our division but a mid level team against the rest of the nfc.
