I'm sick an tired of the everything pertaining to this team being over analyzed and over scrutinized.
And at this point Dak Prescott is a top tier quarterback. The numbers don't lie. He's top 5 in almost ever analytical metric right now. And everyone is looking for reasons to knock him with no evidence.
He doesn't win... well he's 2nd in wins since he's been in the league.
He's not clutch... well he is in the top 3 in comeback wins since he's been in the league.
He's not accurate... well he's completing 70% of his passes this year and 66% for this career.
He dink and dunks... well he's 3rd in yards per attempt this year.
Last year he was knocked for not being able to throw for 300+ yards. He's thrown for over 400 twice.
Then it's the Zeke excuse. John Elway didn't win a super bowl until TD came. The biggest need Dan Marino never got was a running back. The Cowboys offense was built around the running game. You can't blame Dak for that.
If he would've taken Romo's job and the team regressed to the point where the team is drafting a QB in the first round then I could understand, but they are on the same trajectory. The offensive philosophy and play calling remains the same.
Even in a win against the Eagles, the defense predicted what was coming, especially when they ran the ball. You can't blame that on the quarterback.
And because of the media hype surrounding this franchise year in and year out, teams treat playing Dallas like its the super bowl half the time because they are either tired of hearing the media talk about them, or its a nationally televised game and opponents want to get a rep. A team like a Pittsburgh can fly under the radar. A team like the Rams who went to the super bowl last year, and fly under the radar. A team like the 49ers can rebuild in peace. But not the Cowboys.
As crazy as it sounds, I almost miss the Dave Campo years because nobody hyped them up. shyt felt normal.
