Flew out to Vegas for the fight, was lucky to get a free ticket because my boy is a big gambler (his seat was in front of Jay Z and Beyonce) and he got the rest of our group 6 tickets in the $3500 seats. Been a huge Mayweather fan for a very long time so I was jumping up and down at work when my boy told me he had a ticket for me. I just had to fly myself to Vegas and he had a fight ticket and a room for me for a week.
Funny because the whole weekend people would come up to me assuming I was a Pacquiao fan because I'm Asian. Even Nicky Diamonds from Diamond Supply Co. came up to me assuming I was Filipino and was a Pacquiao fan.
During the fight, it felt like my group were the only people going for Floyd in the whole arena. People were obviously salty with me cheering for Floyd and wearing my TMT cap haha. The group of cacs behind me feelings were so hurt when I updated them every round telling them Floyd was up by a wide margin. It was clear that most of the people there knew nothing about the sweet science.
I understand why people were disappointed with the fight, but they were disappointed with the wrong fighter. Floyd came in and did his job, Manny didn't do shyt. I thought he would come in and present more of a challenge at least. Manny looked like he was still shook from that Marquez knockout and he just wasn't throwing any punches. He looked old and slow, neutralized by Floyd. Light work.
Great experience, my first live fight ever was the Fight of the Century!
That being said, Vegas is a terrible city if you stay for any more than 48 hours and fight weekend was too hectic for me. I rather be there on a random weekend.
