If you think you're lonely now, ohhh girl...
Man, Sr. is an egoist. He doesn't want to give anyone an inkling of credit for Floyd's success other than himself. Dude has said Roger didn't do anything for Floyd :stopitslime:. We've already seen that Ariza has Floyd doing stuff he hasn't been doing (e.g., swimming). I don't know Ariza's methodology, but I'll say this: the only time I've ever looked at JCC Jr. and thought, "He's ripped :ohhh:" was when he worked with Ariza. He gets results.

I expect Floyd to fight his normal fight of transitioning from defense to offense seamlessly. I'm not sure if he's going to come out in the high guard like he has done with lefties, though. I don't think Floyd is going to be on his bike on some Carlos Baldomir shyt. I did think his legs looked really good in the Maidana rematch for what it's worth.

floyd will need to come out aggressive for this one..he will be fighting a well equipt pinoy and the judges..

Last week Roach said the Mayweather style was giving Manny a little trouble in sparring , this week hes saying if Floyd has good movement they might loose . Why is he putting doubt in his fighters head . Shouldnt he be displaying ultimate confidence .

EIGHT division world champion and the pride of the Philippines Manny Pacquiao sparred twelve rounds on Saturday and looked better than ever.Working on a game plan to attack early and relentlessly and to push undefeated pound for pound No.1 Floyd Mayweather Jr. into the ropes, Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach said “the fight will be won and lost on the ropes.”Pushing his theory that Mayweather’s legs are shot, which was given added credence by a report from Matthew Fellows of the Daily Telegraph that Mayweather’s people were worried because he was supposedly having trouble with his hands as well as his legs.Roach told Oliver **** of the Daily Mail “if he goes to the ropes and tries to rest his legs, he will get beat.”However, Roach conceded that if Mayweather “has good movement the entire night and his legs don’t give out on him. He’ll probably win.”Simply put it’s about outscoring Mayweather and Roach believes “if he sits on the ropes we can outscore him. If he stays in the middle of the ring and boxes all the time he could possibly outscore us.”Pacquiao resumed his sparring this week after a one week layoff ordered by Roach, to prevent Pacquiao from being over-trained. Roach said Pacquiao is in the best shape of his life, “moving faster and punching harder than ever before.” Dyan Castillejo of ABS-CBN reported that Pacquiao sparred twelve rounds yesterday and later told her that Roach was “very happy” with his performance. She added that “he had very good, explosive movement from rounds 1 to 12.”The parade of Hollywood superstars who visit Pacquiao continued on Saturday when “Rocky,” popular Sylvester Stallone visited him at the Wild Card Gym.Mayweather Promotions CEO and Floyd’s spokesman Leonard Ellerbe was quoted in a Boxing Scene story that he “expects to see a knockout . Floyd will seize the opportunity and finish him (Pacquiao) off.” Ellerbe clarified that “a lot will play out from the way the fighters come out from the opening bell” predicting that Mayweather “will be able to come out and dictate the pace, based on Pacquiao’s style.” He conceded “it’s no secret that Manny is a very aggressive and exciting fighter but he makes a lot of mistakes that Floyd will be able to exploit from the opening bell.”Ellerbe agreed that Pacquiao is “a fighter that has great speed and is very awkward. He has a tremendous trainer and they’ll come out with a great game-plan but I know it won’t be enough after what Floyd is bringing to the table.”

I'm not sure but this is the part of the fight that intrigues me the most the battle on the outside. Floyd is clearly better on the inside and in the pocket but the battle from the outside is what has me :lupe: how does Manny's superior footwork and quicker hands fare up against Floyd's superior timing + measurement of distance :lupe:

PACQUIAO SERVED TO TESTIFY AT DEPOSITION FOR DEFAMATION LAWSUIT FILED BY ALEX ARIZA AGAINST FREDDIE ROACH

Sources close to the situation have informed us that 8-division world champion Manny Pacquiao has been served to appear at a deposition in order to refute or confirm allegations made by Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach that world-class Strength & Conditioning Coach Alex Ariza supplied him with "mystery drinks" that may have contained performance enhancing drugs. According to one source, the deposition is scheduled to take place just two days prior to Pacquiao's May 2 showdown with undefeated pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather. We're told that Pacquiao was extremely unhappy to receive the news that he must once again testify to defend himself due to the allegations made by Roach. Though it's unclear why Roach would make accusations that seemingly put his own fighter, as well as himself, under the microscope during the height of their Hall of Fame careers, he indeed made the explosive allegations early last year.

"I don't get along with the guy, and one of the reasons why he doesn't work for me anymore is because I think he's a little shady, you know. He used to give Manny a drink every day before we worked out and I asked him, 'What's in that drink,' and he would never tell me. And I said, 'I need to know what's in that drink because, you know, you're giving it to my fighter and if something goes wrong, I'm gonna get the blame.' In my opinion, he's a little shady, so he's with that camp now and it doesn't surprise me that happened," Roach commented in a video interview back in January of 2014. Immediately after Roach's comments were made public, Ariza quickly denied the allegations and filed a defamation lawsuit against Roach.
