So what.. Pac has agreed to the testing since 2011

The first time Floyd wasn't the A side
Floyd wasn't a champion.
Makes sense to me too
So you saying he only agreed to now because Floyd is the A side as oppose to agree with it when they were 50/50? :ehh: Weird by understand.

There is more about the gym before this but this excerpt only pertains to the fight.

At Johnny Tocco's, fighters throw punches in the ring. In Monda's office, they toss out opinions: mostly about boxing's alpha wolf — Floyd Jr.

Roberts arrives. He coaches Johnny "J Flash" Nichols, a Floyd Jr. sparring partner. Nichols returns with updates on the champ's condition. "Floyd's looking good," he'll say, a phrase that strikes fear.

Another trainer smiles. "Mayweather all night long," says Merqui "El Corombo" Sosa, 49, a retired Dominican fighter who can still smell a winner. He won 34 fights, 27 by knockouts. But he carries the legacy of violence, slurring his words like a barfly.

There's talk about what makes Floyd Jr. so good. Is it the ability to take a punch?

"Take a punch?" scoffs trainer Chris Harris. "He don't get hit. And that frustrates the other fighter. That's when Mayweather's right unexpectedly comes to get you."

Monda predicts Mayweather will win by a split decision: "There's going to be a second fight, maybe a trilogy."

Harris offers a brand of pugilist philosophy dispensed here for decades: "It's boxing. Anything can happen."

He does whatever he has to do to get the fight with Floyd.. Just like Mosely(OSDT), Just like Canelo(catchweight), Just like Maidana (forced to wear certain gloves)..

In 2009 Pacquiao didn't need Floyd like that and vice versa, there were other fights out their and both were ppv stars, but they were 50/50.. So Floyd issuing out bytchmade ultimatums wasnt happening... Floyd is the A side now in 2015 so Pac does what he has to do to get the fight

They where never 50/50. Floyd sold more PPV's against common opponents.

I agree Manny didn't NEED Floyd, but they where never 50/50.

http://www.worldboxingnews.net/2015...-wear-shorts-worth-2-25m-for-mayweather-fight

If only his handlers will have their way, Manny Pacquiao would probably wear long pants instead of the traditional shorts for the May 2 meeting with Floyd Mayweather Jr. in what has been billed as the "Fight of the Century."

The reason is economics. Long pants will carry more logos and more logos mean more money.

The Bulletin learned yesterday that Pacquiao's short pants for the coming fight will have a value of P100 million ($2.25m / £1.5m) after top Philippine companies vied to have their logos on the pants. That would make the pants the most expensive in the world.

"The rate for this fight is different from the previous (fights)," said Pacquiao's business manager Eric Pineda, stressing the difference was like heaven and earth.

"So far, we have six (companies) that will have their logos on Manny's trunks," said Pineda.

Pineda, however, did not identify which companies have signed up for the pants advertisement.

Just about everything about Pacquiao's welterweight war with Floyd Mayweather is huge.

Mayweather is guaranteed $120 million, while Pacquiao is assured of $80 million.

Tickets, which haven't gone on sale less than three weeks before the scheduled 12-rounder at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, will retail for $7,500, $5,000, $3,500, $2,500 and $1,500.

There are seats that cost $10,000 each but only the very influential and the truly opulent and extravagant will get hold of these prized passes.

Even though public sale has yet to start, there are already tickets being peddled online with the cheapest retailing for several times its original price and the borderline floor seat going for over $50,000.

The pay-per-view will sell for $100 and the closed circuit fee will go for $150.

Even the Philippine broadcast rights were sold for $10 million by Solar Sports although proceeds will be divided among the major players, including Mayweather Promotions, Top Rank and Pacquiao.

Upon the request of Pacquiao, Solar Sports agreed to have the fight telecast by the three major networks — ABS-CBN, GMA and TV5.

Local cable subscribers can also watch the fight commercial-free, without any interruptions, for a hefty fee ranging from P2,000 to P2,500.

Cinemas will also show the fight live for as low as P600 to a high of P1,000.

the purse split was a 50/50 split during the first negotiations... If Floyd was A side, that wouldn't have been the case.. All their common opponents Pacquiao won more impressive and decisively except for Marquez where Floyd sold less ppvs and tickets

The fact it was 50/50 showed just how bad Team Mayweather wanted the fight at the time. It was pretty much a compromise to make the fight.

In reality, they where never really 50/50. Mayweather has always been a bigger draw.

You know it's pointless even trying to argue that right? The numbers are out there.

How was Mayweather the bigger draw in 2009 during the 1st negotiations when Pac/Cotto outsold Mayweather/Marquez in PPV and ticket sales plus Floyd had been retired for two years??

Even in 2011 when they tried to negotiate Pac agreed to all Floyds tests... Pac/Marquez 3 also outsold Mayweather/Ortiz in ppv and ticket sales that year.... But Floydie wanted the fight soooooo bad right?? After his fight with Ortiz Floyd said all Pac has to do is take the tests.. Pac agrees to take the tests then all of a sudden Floyd wants to give Pacquiao a flat $40 million as apposed to a 50/50 split of the fights revenues.... Remember what I said though.. Pac outsold Floyd hat same year(2011) in ppv and ticket sales

:what:What the fukk is wrong with you?

I understand what your trying to say, but it's not the way you compare their drawing power. Of course Pac/Cotto is gonna outsell Mayweather/Marquez, because Juan is not the draw Cotto is.

You judge base on common opponents.

Mayweather vs De La Hoya - 2.4 million buys = $136.6 million revenue
Pacquiao vs De La Hoya - 1.25 million buys = $70 million revenue

Mayweather vs Hatton - 920,000 buys = $50 million revenue
Pacquiao vs Hatton - 850,000 buys = $45 million revenue

Mayweather vs Cotto - 1.5 million buys = $94 million revenue
Pacquiao vs Cotto - 1.25 million buys = $70 million revenue

Mayweather vs Mosley - 1.4 million buys = $78.3 million revenue
Pacquaio vs Mosley - 1.3 million buys = $75 million revenue

If Canelo/Cotto happened & Floyd fought someone else, I guess you would actually try to argue they are bigger draws than Floyd, because that fight would most likely sell more.

I just went back & read some of your post, so I'm not sure I can really spit logic to you.

You really over there trying to say Pac was a bigger draw when he had bigger B side opponents.

nah nikka YOU'RE judging based on common opponents only because it fits your argument...

If you wanna say Of course Pac/Cotto is gonna outsell Floyd/Marquez well then I can say "Of course Floyd/Canelo is gonna outsell Pac/Rios"
or "Of course Floyd/Maidana is gonna outsell Pac/Algieri.. See how that works.. Going by your dumb logic we cant accurately assess Pac and Floyds draw unless they fight common opponents. Since they haven't had a common opponent since 2012, Floyd would have to fight Algieri or Pac would have to fight Maidana...
