@adonnis - pull up, there's refreshments
Prime Mosley ducked Mayweather . . that's a fact of life
at undefeated man in his prime who was gifted a WW title (not his prime division) after getting outboxed then vacated ASAPAre we just gonna ignore the context of fights? 2 rounds for a coke head as opposed to 10 rounds for a undefeated man in his prime
Publicly ducking a shane after he beat cheato and fighting him after Is more impressive than Floyd taking on the challenge and outschooling him
im talking about which opposition was closest to their best when these guys fought em
post 5 Forrest Mosley gifs I'll waitat undefeated man in his prime who was gifted a WW title (not his prime division) after getting outboxed then vacated ASAP
No one beat shane more thoroughly than viper (RIP)...that's what floyd or pac should have been able to do to an older shane but didn't so it's equal to me
Mayweather beat undefeated Hatton . . Pacquiao beat alcohol/drug abusing Hatton who had already lost to Mayweather . . so this is where the psychologically damaged aspect comes into play
But Oscar, Maidana, Ortiz, Mosley, Judah, Gatti Baldomir, Guerrero etc came into those Floyd fights with Ls already so by your logic those Ws are diminished.
Let me guess that doesn't apply here though right. :999:
If Floyd Mayweather Jr. manages to fend off Manny Pacquiao on May 2, he'll have racked up his 48th consecutive win in his undefeated career. With another fight on his Showtime contract, Mayweather Jr. would then have a shot at extending his undefeated streak to 49. If he succeeded in that endeavor, it would put Mayweather Jr. on equal ground with Rocky Marciano, who retired in 1956 with an unblemished 49-0 record.
But would Mayweather Jr. decide to participate in one more fight in an effort to clear Marciano's record? According to his father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., there's a chance.
"After this fight, right here, he has one more fight," Mayweather Sr. told Boxing Insider. "But I'm gonna say that, as when he's done [with] this fight right here, I think he may retire with Rocky Marciano's record now."
Interestingly enough, Mayweather Sr. told Boxing Insider that he thinks greed could play a role in Mayweather Jr.'s decision to pursue 50 wins.
"Sometimes greed overcomes common sense," Mayweather Sr said. "I'm just saying that ... I'm not saying my son is greedy because my son has enough money. I'm not in Floyd's mind. I don't know what Floyd is thinking. The only thing I'm going to tell you is now, like I said, greed overcomes common sense."

Mayweather Jr. was the highest paid athlete in 2014 and is expected to break the record for highest paid athlete in 2015. For the Fight of the Century, Mayweather Jr. could bring in as much as $180 million. So, it's easy to see both sides of the equation. Why would Mayweather Jr. need more money? And at the same time, how could he turn down all that money for just one more fight?
For Mayweather Sr., he just wants his son to be safe.
"I think he might do it, but myself personally I don't care if he tries to beat Rocky Marciano's record or not," Mayweather Sr. said. "I just want him to get out safe. He went in great ... come out great."
Then again, if Pacquiao tops Mayweather Jr. on May 2, this record debate will have been for nothing.
I wish this Shane would've fought May...
we need training videos or something, shyt is irritating the fukk out of meMan they needs to finalize the last ppv fight already for this card..the rehashed fukkery is out of control

Why does this psychology aspect only come in for Mayweather 12 ud sparring sessions?
Does this apply to Manny destroying Cotto before Floyd did or is it only valid for Hatton?
Cheato, Clottey, and Cotton all suck though
Floyd also dismissed JMM like a chil

Uh... yeah it does go both ways. You said that Floyd fought guys first and I gave you examples of people who Manny fought before floyd.well the question is who had teh belts then, because why would mayweather fight clottey or cheato if they werent contenders on that level...or cotto or JMM before pacq when mayweather was champ fighting bigger draws.
it actually DOESNT go both ways
It's not black and white . . you're looking to bait.
