That should have been a tuff fight but he fought like an idiot, he really went in there and tried to out box FloydI thought canelo would be a tough fight too.
We will have to wait and see may 2.

Thurman Breaks Down 5/2, Sides With Mayweather

WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith 'One Time' Thurman gave a breakdown of the upcoming mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. The welterweight unification is scheduled for May 2nd from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
Thurman is technically the WBA's mandatory challenger to the Mayweather-Pacquiao winner. He holds the WBA's 'regular' title and Mayweather-Pacquiao will have the WBA's 'super title' at stake. The WBO/WBC titles will also be up for grabs in the contest.
Thurman expects some wild waters for Mayweather, but still sides with him to come away with the victory.
"I see Manny Pacquiao using his speed. We know Mayweather is very crafty, he's very slippery - and he holds. One thing that people don't give him a lot of credit for, is that he strategically holds a fighter so they can break and then he can get back on his feet and get back on the outside. I'm interested in how Floyd is going to deal with Manny's speed. I'm interested in how Manny is going to deal with Floyd's speed," Thurman said.
"I expect Floyd to pot-shot that right hand all night, line it up and fire. He's going to use the jab, a stiff one to the solar plexus like he likes to do, he will switch up his power punches. I expect Floyd to be on his toes and pot-shotting. I don't expect combinations out of Floyd Mayweather. I expect a lot of movement and strategic punching and strategic holding, and maneuvers to stay away from the danger of Manny Pacquiao."
"Now Manny Pacquiao throws punches from some awkward angles and I think that will benefit him in the fight. I think it would be wise for Manny to come in with a little bit of feinting and head movement. I think he is definitely a tougher opponent than Marcos Maidnaa. I lean towards Floyd [to win], because he hasn't shown us anything to doubt, to believe that he is still not the pound for pound [king]."

GARY RUSSELL SR. ON MAYWEATHER VS. PACQUIAO: "PACQUIAO HAS SHOWN CHINKS IN HIS ARMOR"
By Percy Crawford | March 16, 2015
"I think that Floyd is too intelligent. I don't see what all the hoopla is about this fight. You talking about Floyd, who is undefeated in 47 fights. He won all of them. You got Pacquiao who got knocked out flat on his face and about 5 losses in his career and stylistically, they say styles make a fight," stated Gary Russell Sr., trainer and father of featherweight contender Gary Russell Jr., who shared his thoughts on the highly-anticipated mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao. As far as Russell Sr. is concerned, Pacquiao has been exposed to having problems with intelligent fighters and there's no smarter fighter in side the ring than Mayweather.
"There shouldn't have been that much of a debate about who got this part of the money as opposed to who is gonna get that part of the money. Of course he is marketable, but he has been damaged. He's blemished. It's not like it's an undefeated fighter fighting another undefeated fighter. Floyd is the man and Pacquiao has showed chinks in his armor on 5 different occasions," Russell Sr. explained during a recent conversation with FightHype.com. "Now they can build something. They can take a nobody and make him a sensation. I'm not calling Pacquiao a nobody by no means. He is a great fighter and he brings a lot to the table, but he's been busted up. My prediction, I got Floyd taking him to school. Tim Bradley exposed him. When he got knocked out by Marquez, he got exposed and it shows that Pacquiao has problems with boxers; intelligent boxers. Floyd is as intelligent as they get when it comes down to boxing."

I agree with some of the stuff said here but going by his logic why should there have been any hoopla about Ali Foreman
Foreman was undefefeated and Ali had two losses
can't wait until Gonzalez sends him that Bolivia package the Ukrainian prince gave him :sog:
but when the other people in the thread were trying to say this they were dismissed as floyd stans"Rigondeaux as a sparring partner for Pacquiao makes no sense, anyway, because although he is great defensively and fast like Mayweather, he is also about 20 pounds lighter than Pacquiao and left-handed. Pacquiao, who will begin sparring for the fight on Tuesday, has two sparring partners in camp at Roach’s Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California, to begin with (with more coming). They are Kenneth Simms Jr. (5-0, 2 KOs) and Rashidi Ellis (14-0, 11 KOs).:"
Look, fat dan agrees with me.
