The Fukin Prophecy
RIP Champ
He's Cuban...I always see him on the pound for pound list but I haven't seen him, I wonder what kept him around in the amateurs for 400 fights

I'm over here feeling old and out of touch. I'm living in a world where Algieri is a master boxer and Rigo is just a name and didn't even know it
Remove names. How does a smaller (by 25 pounds) southpaw that throws less than Floyd, connects on less than Floyd(29% to 42%) yet while maintaining the same level of defense prepares you for a fight. Is he expecting Floyd not to swing back? How a Rigo, Floyd, a Pernell or a James Toney fights is based on intuition, when you reach that rarefied air. You can mimic the techniques till your face turns blue. Utilization is different in every situation. It has nothing to do with stanning. I don't see how this helps one iota when everything that we know that affects Floyd, you can't say that Rigo can help Manny with. The end result between the two (Floyd and Rigo) might look the same or look similar in their fights, but the routes they get there are far different. That's my argument.
Remember who planted this doubt
You right Manny should have got a 40 yr old Guzman with Patrick Ewing knees over Rigo
Why get a top 5 p4p fighter when you can get a guy whose last win was from a nikka who was 10-70 or some shyt

Getting a world-class sparring partner who has a similar style to Floyd Mayweather is beyond difficult to find, but Manny Pacquiao may have found just the perfect guy for the job.
Sources told GMA News Online that unbeaten world super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux has been tapped to spar with Pacquiao in preparation for his long-awaited showdown against Mayweather on May 2.
One source said that Pacquiao and Rigondeaux have already started to spar with each other at the famed Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles this past week. Pacquiao was said to not have worn a headgear during the sparring session while Guillermo was equipped with full boxing gears.
A pugilist who possesses excellent speed, power, footwork and boxing skills, the 34-year-old Cuban is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and a three-time amateur boxing World Cup gold medalist.
He has a perfect record of 15-0 with 10 knockouts and holds a dominant victory over Nonito Donaire in 2013.
Perhaps more importantly, Rigondeaux possesses the quick reflexes and defensive style that could help Pacquiao get an idea of how it would be to face Mayweather inside the ring.
Rigondeaux had previously trained under Roach, drawing high praise from the Hall of Fame trainer.
GMA News Online got in touch with Rigondeaux's manager Gary Hyde to confirm the report but he respectfully declined to comment on the matter. —JST, GMA News

I'm going over to Wild Card boxing gym and I'm walking straight up to Freddie Roach and telling him I'm calling Manny out, I wanna spar
Yall too focused on height...
The real physical advantage to focus on is reach...Floyd got a 4 inch reach advantage on Rigo who has an inch on Packeyow...Anyone who knows anything about this sport knows that's a big advantage and Rigo cannot duplicate its potential impact on this fight...It's also worth noting Rigo fights nothing like Floyd...Rigo is a prototypical stick and move Cuban boxer so as far as working on cutting off the ring he will help Packeyow tremendously but other than that I don't see any other big benefit to this sparring...
