On the surface, it seems noble. But either you agree to terms for the fight and shut up about injuries or you pull out of the fight and request a delay. Something he could have easily done because 3-4 weeks ago the tickets were not even on sale. This was the one time where nobody would have needed to be refunded money for tickets, I don't even think there was a PPV price then either. He isn't even giving Floyd the props he deserves for the clinic he put on. Held Manny to 80 punches landed. Manny could have come out and said "I lost fair and square" and went on to have his procedure. He could have said something like "hey, im sure if every prize fighter at this level was checked out, we could all find something we need surgery on, whatever injury I have shouldnt take anything away from what Mayweather did." All the bytching about not being able to take your anti-inflamm. shot, but in the end it was your teams fault for not going through the proper channels.

On one hand, if he's faking the injury, then his effort and determination should be questioned and he dropped the ball on the biggest fight of our generation.
If he was injured, and didn't postpone the fight than he thought money was more important than the sport. You don't do that in the biggest fight our generation. A 100 dollar PPV, People spending thousands of dollars to attend the fight, your country watching, hardcore fans watching a six year wait that was supposed to be at the very least, competitive, sullied by an injury. People dont compete with May while one hundred percent, why would you go into it 70%. Talking up the fight like you're ready, saying its for your country, while not even 100%. Preaching all this stuff about God, yet you con your country Amd boxing fans and you're lying during the entire lead up to the fight. He disrespected the sport. You can do that against Rios or Algieri, but you can't do that in the biggest fight of a generation. I said before the fight that if Floyd pulled what he pulled against Ortiz, against Pacquiao, that the sport would never forgive him and rightfully so. Because whether or not its legal, semantics go out of the window when it's a fight this big. He sold out boxing, his country, and his legacy by following through with this fight.
When SRL loss to Duran, SRR to Lamotta, Ali to Frazier, they all came back better with refined game plans. You can't follow through with the fight knowing you're injured, and then you use it as an excuse after the fight. You can't have it both ways. All time Greats don't do that.
