On a side note, wouldn't it be weird if these prices were true seeing how last gen systems still cost $4-$500 for the pemium sku.

I don't know if it would make next gen look cheap, or last gen look expensive but the pricing just doesn't make sense.

Sony sees themselves as a premium brand. If they were really about selling units, the Vita would have received a price cut or two by now. Bravia television used to cost way too fukking much. $399.
