A Glenolden optician has been charged by Folcroft police with sexual assault and offering free glasses for sex from customers.

Brian T. Steiner, 40 of the 100 block of Rambler Road, has been charged with sexual assault, threat of rape, indecent assault, false imprisonment, prostitution, stalking, theft and harassment.

Police went to speak to Steiner, who, after being read his rights, admitted in a taped interview to soliciting customers for sex in return for waiving charges and providing store items, which he was actually stealing.

Steiner told police that he would lock the door of the business and then take the customer to an examination room in the back where he knew there was no video surveillance and perform oral sex.

In November 2024, a man came in to that store to pick up glasses. He spoke to the receptionist but was invited into another office by “optician Brian Steiner.” While looking at a display, Steiner now kneeling, told the victim, “Black guys are so hung.” The man was taken aback by what Steiner said but stayed, said the criminal complaint. Steiner then attempted to arrange a meeting and finally offered oral sex while offering the man a free pair of gold framed clear lens glasses.
