What's NG+... And I guess I'll try this game out later today. I bought it,and would hate for it to be a free game before I touch it

There's alot of 'made by a black man' game threads on here. Do you guys actually support these people? We don't like to talk about the ugly truth in that black people rarely support our own.

Depends.

I buy a game if it hits 2 criteria:

A) something I want to own

and

B) something I want to support

If its just something I want to try or play, I can do that without buying it.
I am likely the target audience for something like this cause I play Don't Starve, Darkest Dungeon, Rebuild 3... lots of indie stuff. Bastion, Sexy Brutale, etc.

Of those games, I supported Darkest Dungeon (which has at least 1 black character, the archer) and Rebuild 3 which has black charachters as well.
I couldn't see myself buying the others really. They are not reflective of me, seemingly intentionally. Its the same way I can watch the show Vikings on tv and enjoy it.... but at no point would I ever consider buying it. There are no black ppl. The thought to buy Vikings would never even cross my mind.

So, keeping it a 100.... we are only having this convo cause it was poinyed out a person involved behind the scenes is black.
Cause as some have pointed out in the previous pages there seem to be no black characters. (There are not in the trailers).
If it had not been for this thread I wouldn't have known at all that this game has anything black about it. Woulda snatched it offline, beat it, the went back to X-Com.

Thats jyst being real.

No :mjpls:go to these kids school or somethin?

But, as is, I will try and keep an eye out for brehs future works.
Next game I know I'm buying is Earthnight. Getting a copy on handheld for my neice.

I dont have to explain to her who made it begind the scenes... she can look at it and see what it is.
(No offense)

It's just the op making threads like these, and his criteria is usually if a black man has a prominent role. People read the headlines and assume a black guy created the entire game. In this game, I think the black guy is the writer?

And yes I bought it, even have it pinned to my dashboard. But it's in my que of games to get to :manny:

I finished the game yesterday. The dialogue didn't do much for me and I didn't think the characters sounded like teenagers would talk, but I really liked the soundtrack. I don't know if I would have been happy if I had paid full price, but I recommend this game on sale.

The game did a time loop with the ending I got, so I looked up spoilers and it looks like you have to play through it twice to get what seems like the true ending. I don't really want to play through it again, but it was a fine experience once.
