Nintendo is not competing with Sony, totally different markets. Playstation is basically a stop gap before moving on to PC.
Xbox is positioning itself to be the transition from console to PC which everyone expected since they got into the market. The cloud will bridge that gap, they will dominate in their lane. Nintendo will continue being Nintendo with or without a cloud (but they'll adapt) and you are seeing this already with Nintendo titles now on smart phones.
Sony doesn't have really any exclusives that matter. They don't create genres n shyt, they ain't Nintendo so their future is more uncertain. Joining xbox proves they didn't plan for the future. I expect a possible merger by next gen. A cloud powered console that plays everything...
Im guessing you're attempting some reverse psychology i comment on all topics while you're in all of these same threads commenting on who is commenting. Who you think you iz, Joan Rivers
Sony washed Nintendo repeatedly so they decided to be more of a children's toy type company that aimed at the casuals and started specializing in being weird.
Nintendo found great success doing so...expect for the Wiiu.
Nintendo has always catered to younger gamers because back in the day it wasn't cool for older heads to play video games like it is today. Back when men were men and bytches had hairy snatches
Also Nintendo didn't quite take the L the OP is saying.
The original Sony/Nintendo deal would have given Sony so high of a percentage of all profits related to the super cd medium...it would have been the equivalent of Polygram/Universal and them making money off of ALL cds.
Had Nintendo just stuck to letting Panasonic design SOME cd add on for the SNES instead of just licensing terrible games for the CDI things could have been a lot better. Also sticking with cartridges for Nintendo 64 did a lot of damage too.
Nintendo was raping publishers on the cartridges and their license fees. Sony was able to undercut them on both fronts making them VERY publisher friendly.

And by damage you mean make awesome games like wcw world tour, goldeneye, zelda oot/etc?
The load times from CD technology at the time would have not been welcome
While every gen trying to figure out new ways to be anti-consumer

Ok, have you EVER been an active paying member of psnow? No? Then your post trash b
Both Nintendo and Sega did. Cause after Nintendo pulled that shyt. Sony did a deal with the guy leading Sega of America. shyt was basically set. Sega of Japan being the dumbasses they were at the time fukked that deal up. So Sony said fukk both of them.

Imagine indirectly creating the company that would either make your company obsolete (Sega) or be your company's biggest noted rival (Nintendo) by fukking up a deal that would've had them on your side.
