we need some counterculture or somethin I don't fukkin know, but social media in its current state is just disgusting and if left unchecked who knows where we'll end up
fake asses, clout chasing, hoeness, desensitization to horrible shyt, we're on a bad path

theres no way for any sort of counter culture to exist today. everywhere and everything is gentrified, including the internet. plus the amount of time it takes for something to go from underground and pure to being written about, appropriated, and sold back to us has shortened down to nothing. there used to be a little bit of a gap there, but that gap is gone

It’s weird to think people would find the idea of picking a photogenic location for vacationing “clout” chasing. Why wouldn’t you want to visit some places that looks aesthetically beautiful and pleasing to the eye? And have photos to match? I mean, we all use our eyes to determine a lot of things in life.

No one says I walked up to that girl and started shooting my shot because she has good conversation. It’s mostly because they seen them and thought they looked appealing...

The only revealing stat is the point about how UKers look at photo albums with contempt in comparison to US viewers. Every other factor is just to try to establish a theory about why the trend; which most people here believe it’s clout chasing that makes these trends, but I’m sure there’s more to it

this almost the base standards of what instagram was made for I have no issue with this instagram was basically created to show pictures of every day life, vacations, exotic views, cars, cool shyt that the average person doesnt get to see so they see it through your eyes.. a photo album of your life.. cant hate on this
