I think we're seeing a bit of revisionist history. Now, because Ukraine is losing, pro-Ukraine supporters are saying that Russia lost in February 2022. If that was the case, then why didn't Washington allow Ukraine to continue peace talks with Russia when the Kremlin was open to peace in April 2022?
You have to admit the following is what occurred, re the 2022 war onwards:
- Russia's quick decapitation strike failed
- Ukraine began pushing back and went on a full counter-offensive that failed by autumn 2023
- Russia began grinding the Ukrainians down from Mariaupol onwards and the Ukrainian frontline might collapse by spring 2025...
If Russia wasn’t being taxed by this war, they wouldn’t be trying to get a peace deal too. Yeah, they’re making big strides but they know this is turning into a pyhrric victory where if they go all out the cost is going to be too high. They *can* take over Ukraine but it would wreck them.
You think they had to bring in North Koreans out of friendship?
