Haven't watched in years and mostly likley never will be some of the earlier madea plays wasn't horrible. Class Reunion comes to mind specifically cuz of the dude Tyler played and Mr Brown clowning the whole time

All of his movies are corny tbh. His plays and House of Payne were dope tho.

It seems once he got famous and started making the chick flicks is where the hate came from..

Its just different when Tyler does it cuz he actually gives u a vibe of an old black woman whereas Eddie and Martin was totally comedy
I agree he gets too much hate cuz he keeps black actors working and some of his movies were good like Good Deeds. And the Madea character is played out.
But it does seems like his writing and themes are just too predictable or just lacking something. But I respect his hustle. He has his fan base and stay in his lane.

I, personally, always think for any man claiming to be hetero, willing to dress up in drag or do female "role play" and emasculate themselves, is sus AF.
