Mariah can sing but she has no critically acclaimed music. And no universally heralded classic album. And even her voice is overrated in and of itself. Because she originally came in the game as the white looking biracial girl who people took notice to because she could SORT OF sing like Whitney.

Another problem with Mariah was her easy road to the top. She was married to the biggest executive in music and had a succession of #1 hits back to back to back to back to back to back to back. Made safe, bubblegum pop music for most of her career until she decided she wanted to be like Mary and do hip hop, which she admitted out of her own mouth. Mariah knew what it was from the jump and even said she wanted to be respected like Mary.

I doubt Mariah ever gets into this HOF.

She made doctors office music for the majority of her career
