Welp, there goes Mitchell...:francis:

Mitchell injured the knee in the third quarter of the Patriots' 41-3 victory over the New York Jets on Dec. 24. He missed the season finale at the Miami Dolphins on Jan. 1 before returning to practice on a limited basis for the first time on Jan. 5.

Mitchell had been limited since his return, but sources tell Schefter that the Patriots are hopeful he might be available for game action should the team advance to the AFC Championship game on Jan. 22.

Source: Pats WR Mitchell (knee) out vs. Texans

That sucks.

His Foxborough moment was delayed, but it finally happened under the vast, deep echoes of Brock Osweiler’s career detonating. With a minute left in the first quarter, having already scored on a 13-yard pass from Tom Brady, Lewis fielded the kickoff following a Houston field goal on his own two-yard line. He started up the left sideline and cut toward the middle. He made a move that caused the Texans Robert Nelson to disappear entirely and then he beat Brian Peters to the right hashmarks. By then, the field had completely opened up. Lewis went 98 yards for the first post-season kickoff return touchdown in the team’s history. By the time he squeezed in from the one-yard line in the fourth quarter, Lewis had become the first player in NFL postseason history to score on a run, a pass, and a kickoff return.

Mahty it is :takedat:

“A lot of times I go places, and fans don’t really care about me, but I feel loved here. I appreciate our fans, and it just gives me this extra oomph. It’s like ‘all right,’ it’s just extra energy. Each step is like, ‘Mah-ty.’ They put an H in my name. I don’t have an H in my name,” he told reporters followed Saturday’s divisional playoff win over the Texans. “But that was pretty cool. I’ve never really experienced that at this level. I feel like the fans appreciate me, and I appreciate them. So I love that feeling, and I love the fans here. I have since I’ve been here.”

The “H’ in his name is a product of the Boston accent, of course.

“I like the Boston accent,” Bennett said. “I’ve been a big fan of Ben Affleck for a while and his movies, so Mark Wahlberg and all those guys. I kinda see it a little bit.”
