What we are seeing is that many black people are too dumb, blind, or just willfully ignorant to bad faith actors in or own spaces. A lot of the men are being contrarian just to do it. In the 60s during the civil rights movement there were sellouts and “Candace Owens” back then but they lived in strong black communities so no one was trying to hear their bullshyt.
Also we had to work together whether we liked each other or not. Because of monetization, clout, instant celebrity by going viral, lack of black history being taught by parents, it’s too many men and women out for selves by any means necessary. You always hear black people aren’t a monolith but that’s the main problem. We can’t get on the same page on anything without someone being a contrarian or justifying nonsense.
