from a fan perspective, i would like the to see ggg-canelo, no later than next may.

from a business perspective, i would book ggg-canelo 2 years from now.

i don't believe canelo is scared of ggg. i think oscar saw how long it took pac-floyd to get made and how much money it made by making fans and casuals wait for it come happen. a fight with ggg-canelo, has ppv written all over it. to maximize and get the most out of this fight financially, shyt has to be build up. to book ggg-canelo now, and settle for 500K ppvs :camby: i think it can be 750-800K if put together properly.

hbo is doing a great job with ggg as far as exposure but, he still needs that dance partner/opponent to get him out there. there's enough fights for ggg out there to last him before a big fight with canelo, guys like turenao johnson, lemieux, andy lee, n'dam, few mandys. shyt i wouldn't even mind seeing ggg, take a fight at 168 to stay busy and come back down to 160. i would love to see ggg-abraham or ggg-froch at 168. :banderas:

The only difference is floyd/manny are 2 years apart and canelo/golovkin are 9 years apart

Not just that but I think he understands that he pushed Canelo too soon for the Floyd fight.

Outside of the Charlos and K9 he's pretty much beat everyone at 154 worth a damn.

I say let him finish cleaning out 154 and then push for GGG next September.

Here's the thing tho... I think GGG loses to Monroe this weekend.

cotto take s the L and retires, and then canelo/GGG is put on hold until O-scar feels that the bread is right.:sas1:

Canelo beats anyone at 160 by the way :sas2:

Both have potential to be big stars and I'd love to see this fight but I do think ggg needs more shine and it's too early in both their careers to take on such a dangerous fight

One or both should get Cotto and another fight or two before they finally meet

ugh, yall remember when Arum wanted Gamboa/Juan Ma to "cook" then we all know what happened next:francis:

I see what oscar doing from a business perspective, But GGG is in his mid 30s, I dont want to wait more then a year for this fight.
Exactly, this is why I'm not even anticipating the fight, dangerous fight for Cinnamon, not GGG. Rojo can't afford another loss, he might get knocked down to Amir Khan status.

I can understand why he want to wait for business reasons. While Jim Lampley may cream his pants at the thought of watching GGG fight its not like the rest of the world is as enamored of him or even knows who the fukk he is.
GGG needs a win over a name first before he becomes a worthwhile PPV opponent for Canelo.
