At what point do we reckon with the pathetic way white boy stupidity is destroying The Booth. You aren't even getting paid for this bullshyt, there is no engagement farming here besides getting a plat thread. Every rapper buys tracks from producers all the fukking time and if you knew anything about hip hop you wouldn't give a shyt about this. Jay-Z literally released a documentary showing Kanye wrote the bridge for Lucifer ("I gotta get these demons out my life...") and nobody batted an eye or said Kanye wrote for Jay.

From a Kendrick perspective, the hook on Love was written by a producer and Zacari. Pharrell wrote the hook on Alright. NOBODY CARES. This is how rap songs get made.
Breh it’s how every song gets made.. we don’t care let’s get our jokes off

And? He got producer credits and vocal credits, he just simply didn't get a feature credit - which is normal for no name producers. So why are people pretending like he got fukked. How many non-big producers get a feature credit? There is nothing wrong with what happened, nobody got screwed and I'm tired of this white boy shyt from people who don't know shyt about music or rap (not saying that's you).

The crux here is that people are claiming this is comparable to ghostwriting and that is literally not true.

I don't think anybody's claiming he got fukked over. It's more about drake's standing as an artist. Drake's choruses and bridges are what set him apart from the competition. It was that backbone of his artistry. So when it keeps being exposed that he's had plenty of his most memorable hooks laid down for him, it makes you wonder how deep it goes.

From that snippet, drake isn't even adding any type of flare to it. He's literally doing an exact copy of this dudes performance. The most memorable parts of the song. Without those parts, there is no song at all.

Yeah it’s more common than anyone wants to admit.

I’m sure most people talking shyt in here are kendrick stans. I was more surprised to learn that kendrick was gifted “Alright”. I expect Drake to get lots of help.

But one of kendrick best and most popular songs came premade to him. :wow:

Stans should probably just chill out and enjoy the music:manny:

Pharell did a hook.

there was no confusion about that. He's on the fukking song.

The verses are all Kdot though. Drake is a pop artist, if he can't make his own hooks what exactly does he do but do karaoke? He basically a male britney spears
