Out of the core black actresses, Crazy Eyes and Cindy seem to be the better actors. Her scenes do not translate to her origins for me though.

In the prison, she seems like a developmentally challenged eccentric adult. In the origins it comes off as a slow child.

The one I can't stand every time she speaks is Janae. Like, I don't understand how after 4 seasons she is still a horrific actor.

To be fair, they haven't given her any material since the first season. They took one aspect of her personality and made it her token calling card - angry one. I think she was decent her first season, but had they been using her more, she may have developed.

A character I can't fukk with anymore is Lorna - Lorna is so at this point with her delusions.

I'm also very over Angie and the other methhead

i really didn't like how they had these two dope fiends ruin a very heavy/what could've been impactful moment. I'm all for comedy interrupting serious moments when appropriate but poussey was a fan fave and the way caputo sold her out in the presser and the true rage the black cast felt (and of course the black community the past few years with #BLM) they should've treated the uprising more solemnly....not having those two dumbasses yelling Attica

That's been my problem with the show as a whole, honestly. They seem to not let these women do anything too harmful. I'm guessing to keep them likable and have you sympathize when they do their backstories which comes off as a bit annoying.

That's one of the reasons I liked Vee and hated the way the black group dealt with her.

They're in minimum security, it'd be too much of a stretch to have gangsta shyt on a hunnid coming from 1) women 2) women who for various reasons (petty crime, insanity, drugs, prostituion, civil protest, old age, etc) have proven themselves to be worthy of minimum security. I would actually prefer this show incorporate and/or show max...and not just the SHU angle.

Yeah, I was going to mention that, too. Some of them though are in there for some truly fukked up shyt. I think that's why I like that old biker Frida so much. The matter of factness with which she deals with death is funny to me.

Don't agree with the first reason though. Women can be awful. Sometimes in different ways from men, sometimes in the same ways. There used to be a show on HBO that I can't seem to find the name of that showed this.

At the end of the day, it's still prison.

yea, but on the whole women are less violent and definitely in this setting which is why I disagree with you that they need to be doing more violent stuff, I think they have sprinkled in the right balance of prison violence/way of life for the type of facility they're in. I watched a documentary on a women's facility that was pretty much low security and this mirrors them pretty well.

And I'm hoping for a background episode on frida next season (they haven't done one yet right?) she's bout that life, would love to see her in her glory days

Random tangent - we needed some more of Sophia, I know it's the SHU, but she snapped in there pretty bad, like what made her go down so fast? We also need an update on Sister...her flabby coochie wasn't bout that life

Yeah, it shows how things usually go down in situations like that. The bigger personality types usually dominate and that can lead to some pretty toxic environments.
