False. Altima and other cars are being discontinued because of EVs and emissions standards.
That wasn't what I was alluding to. That is true as well though.

The bad CVTs did a lot of damage to that brand. I had 2 altimas since 06 and shifted to a 2019 accord myself.

That under a completely different CEO. Nissan has made a massive shift since and quality has gone up, up, up. I’d recommend them over a Corolla or Camry but below a Civic. If I were to spend that much on a car (and I’m planning to) I would put my eyes on Honda and the Civic ‘22 generation.

OP If you go Nissan go with the Versa. Was named Editors Choice in this years Car and Driver.

Ol boy gets into it - poor quality from the mfr and Dealer Incentives to push them on poor people.

Maintain your by the mileage and you should be good, this is for any vehicle. That being said the issue with Nissan is the CVT which has been covered in this thread.
